Request for More Deer in Rockingham County

I got this note from a non-MC group:
"June 5—Noon to 5 pm Dept of Game and Inland Fisheries is running a meeting to get local input. There has been a serious request(s) to INCREASE the deer population in northern Rockingham County and the Dept wants local input from a variety of sources. The meeting will be at the Timberville Community Center and starts with lunch. "
I haven't noticed any shortage of deer around here. I'll be en route to Asheville then, but maybe somebody could put in a word for us.
