Thanks, Bob. Just noticed your post. After the last breakfast, I emailed the links for High Country & Blue Ridge to you and Joe. Did you get my email?

Yes I did, sorry - should have pinged you back. Bob
Saw the Octoberfest post for Morton's but I had a heavy duty cold that weekend.

Re: Motorcycle Campgrounds
I've stayed at Cruso, HCCC, and Iron Horse. Oh, and Willville.
My recollection is that there's no way HCCC is five minutes from the Parkway. Getting there via 421 is a 20 minute ordeal. There is a back way that saves a few minutes but nothing huge.
Meredith and I stayed at Iron Horse some eight or nine years ago. It's a nice facility but very Harley-centric with all of the noise that accompanies that.
Cruso is nice; less developed than Iron Horse but what a location. The tiny cabins were great, sort of like the 10x10 KOA cabins. Very laid-back arrangement.
My sister and I stayed at Willville on the way back from the RA in '07. Like Cruso, very laid-back and not overly developed. Breakfast biscuits provided... they have a special name, I forget what it is.

Joe and I were just at Willville and Will no longer provides biscuits. I re-checked the BRB to HCCC distance and Google maps says 6 minutes & 3.4 miles.
Of course, Google could be wrong in this instance. 8>0
Yes, the iron Horse is a bit H-D leaning but I've been around H-D's and owned a few so for me it is not a problem. And you can get Breakfast right there before you ride off on your daily adventure. (I know, it would be great if some of those guys would stick w/ stock pipes instead of drag pipes. yuck!)

Re: Motorcycle Campgrounds
I and my friends went to Blue Ridge motorcycle campground last month. The place is very well-maintained.
