Helmet certification standards
I have odered one helmet and have another on the way from an outfit in Europe. Both helmets have a ECE R22-05 approvel. This means of course there will not be a DOT label. Does anyone know if the ECE cert will meet DOT standards. If the occasion arises, what might one tell the controling legal authorities ?
And you might ask yourself, "where does that highway go?"

I suspect they would take the safe route and look for the DOT sticker. That from my exerience as a former state bearuocrat. I've never heard of any authorities being interested, even Swain County deputies at NC RA rallies. Look at all the supposed helmets on the cruiser crowd.
